REC Student Privileges
available to Riders of El Camino

El Camino strives to provide a holistic equine education for every student. In addition to traditional riding lessons, El Camino provides classes and clinics centered around ground work, equine nutrition, basic equine first aid, and college planning focusing on equestrian related careers. We also promote student success with friendly competition through ranch horse shows, fun days, and group rides including mounted drill team exercises.

Horse Shows
Student Play Days

Held every Spring, the student show is only open for  participation to current students and customers of ECR, but is open to the community to come and watch. The purpose of this show is to promote confidence through the fun of  competition. Once a month held on either a Saturday or Sunday, EC hosts student play days for 12-15 students. We also trailer to local horse shows with our Show Team.

Redlands 
Christmas Parade

Every year El Camino enters a float and a team of horses into the Redlands Christmas Parade. We invite our students and their families to join us in celebrating the holidays.

Annual Fall Festival

In October El Camino hosts our annual Fall Festival. At this event our students participate in a horse and rider costume contest. At this event students receive their certificates of achievement during an awards ceremony. The party is pot luck style and is open to the public.

REC Meetings

Riders of El Camino (REC) Club is open to all of our ECR Students, Clients, and Families. This is a free service provided by El Camino to promote camaraderie among our ECR family. We also host clinics that focus on various horse disciplines and topics.

Boot Camp

This camp is by invitation only and is available exclusively to long time EC students and customers ages 13 and up.  This program is designed to give students the ranch life experience. Boot camp provides an opportunity to spend time at the ranch doing barn activities and caring for our lesson horses and El Camino’s older retired horses. 


Junior Bootcamp

Ages 10 and up building up skills to be great boot campers! Junior boot campers are scheduled for a two hour session. They work on honing their skills to move up to full time boot campers. No riding is allowed, and junior boot campers are heavily supervised.
ALL BOOT CAMPERS MUST BE PRE-APPROVED 
AND HAVE RECEIVED AN INVITATION BY A RIDING INSTRUCTOR.
