BOARDING at EL CAMINO RANCH

At EL CAMINO, in the foothills of the San Bernardino mountains, in the outskirts of Redlands, California, and amidst a grove of top producing orange trees, our customers tell us they find our ranch to be a relaxing, fun, and invigorating experience for them.

They love the beautiful view we have of the mountains–a gorgeous vista of Mount San Gorgonio, and in the winter, the breathtaking sight of the snowy peaks, which is actually only 40 minutes from the ranch. All boarded horses are managed alongside our broodmares, lesson horses, and pleasure horses. We feed Alfalfa and Bermuda Hay three times a day. For new foals through 2 year olds, we feed Timothy  and Alfalfa Hay.  Supplements and grain are given only when specifically ordered by the customer, and special diets can be arranged. Our farrier is here once weekly.  The Veterinarian, Dr. Hugh Gibbs, is here weekly or more frequently as needed.

We have two employees who live on the ranch, so there is emergency care 24 hours a day. We turn on a Security Alarm from 9 pm to 6 am. The front gate code for entry onto the ranch is shared with each customer, and although we are closed for business on Holidays we allow customers to visit their horses on those days, and ride if they choose. Customers with their horse in a Training Program need Trainer's approval that you are ready to ride without supervision.   Paddock board or stall board is available, with the 120' x 180' arena always available for use, sharing it with our trainers and our lesson students. Turn outs are not available, but we have 3 hot walkers on the ranch, and a 60 foot diameter bull pen which is open after 4 pm for customer use.  The boarded horses have access to the crossties in the Riding Academy area as available.  or in the Mare Motel crossties from 7 AM to 4:00 PM.  Boarders provide their own Grooming Supplies and Equipment, and also any supplements for the horse.  Tack rooms for boarders are free. Your horse’s immunizations and wormers will be given by the veterinarian. You also have the choice of purchasing Strongid C wormer, fed daily with the feed.

A Services Contract will be available for you to complete during a visit to the ranch prior to bringing your horse for Boarding. We hope your stay with us will be a pleasant one, and welcome any suggestions you have for added safety or convenience.
