TRAINING AT EL CAMINO RANCH
Welcome to El Camino Ranch Training Barns. We operate two separate Performance Training programs from 3 barns equipped with wash racks and grooming areas, with 33 stalls which have automatic fly spray, cooling fans, automatic water and rubber mats. The bedding used is wood shavings. We also offer Halter training.
Our work areas include a 120 x 180 foot outdoor lighted arena with state of the art footing; two hot walkers, and a 60 foot diameter covered bull pen. We feed Alfalfa Hay, grass hay, and a pelleted grain. Horses are fed three times per day. Horses are groomed daily after training. Turn out grass paddocks are available, if included as a part of the horses’ training. The programs are: the Performance Barn where our young stock go under saddle; another is our Amateur Barn for the Junior and Amateur riders who own their own show horses and take them to Open, Arabian Community Shows and Arabian Class A shows; and our Halter Barn. We accept outside Arabians and Half Arabians in all of these programs. Our training in all programs is Amateur oriented, and the Training Fees include two lessons per week for the owner, one a private lesson and one a Group Lesson. We train in Western Pleasure, Hunter Pleasure, English Pleasure, Show Hack, Native Costume, Side Saddle, Reining, and Halter. The Juniors also learn Equitation in Stock Seat, Hunt Seat, Saddle Seat & Showmanship. One week of Summer Day Camp is a special event held for the Amateur Riders.
We attend local Open, Arabian Community Shows, Class A Arabian shows, Regionals, U.S. Youth Nationals, and U.S. Nationals. When client horses are ready for the show ring, we enter their horses in the shows of their choice, where they show their horse in Junior and Amateur classes in the many disciplines of the Arabian horse.
